Vikki Aldridge (A.I.S.T.D)
Vikki started dancing at the age of 5 with Margaret Baldwin, progressing through ISTD examinations in Ballet, Tap & Modern Dance, gaining awards including 1st place at the Kent International Summer School & winning trophies from competitions including the Gandolphi Ballet cup.
At the age of 11 she gained a place as a boarder at the prestigious Bush Davies Education & Theatre Arts in East Grinstead, Sussex, with the assistance of a bursary from the local education authority. Vikki also attended the Central School of Ballet London for a short period of time on Saturdays.
At the age of 14 Vikki was invited to audition for the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts' Barbican, London where she gained a place, again with the assistance of a local authority grant and later, a full scholarship from the academy. She trained there until the age of 19 when she graduated with a performing arts diploma and teaching qualifications in ISTD Ballet (with Distinction) and ISTD Tap and Modern. Whilst still training, she was given the opportunity to teach for the first time, at one of the first Italia Conti Associate Schools in Blackheath.
After graduating Vikki's professional credits include: Phantom of the Opera (Touring Germany) Various Pantomimes, Summer shows, Hair shows, Brit Awards, Royal Variety Performances, Pop Videos, Ballet DVD's, Vodafone awards to name but a few. She has worked at various prestigious events with artistes including: Michael Jackson, Take That, Simply Red, Robbie Williams, David Bowie, Will Young and Kylie Minogue.
In 2000, Vikki decided to form her own Dance School. Vikki loves working with the children and young performers of the next generation. Whether they are attending dance classes just for fun, or if they wish to pursue a career in the industry, Vikki always gives her best to all her students. She is very proud of all of them.
